Education and Credentials
Dr. Hyver earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in 1993, following an honors undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and completed fellowship training in corneal and refractive surgery, the specialized discipline behind modern LASIK, PRK, and lens-based vision correction.
Rather than dividing his attention across general ophthalmology, Dr. Hyver focused his entire career on refractive surgery, a singular focus that made him one of the Bay Area’s premier and most trusted providers of PRK eye surgery, alongside deep, repeated experience with Wavefront-Optimized All-Laser LASIK, SMILE, and customized PRK. He is also a published contributor to the ophthalmic literature.
